In Mykolaiv, trolleybuses are rapidly gaining passengers: 3.5 million since the beginning of the year
In March, 1.5 million trips were recorded
In Mykolaiv, more than 3,500,000 trolleybus trips have been recorded in the city’s electric transport since the beginning of the year, the municipal enterprise ‘Mykolaivelektrotrans’ reported.
The company notes that passenger traffic is steadily increasing. In January there were 990,000 trips, and by March the figure had risen to 1,500,000.
One of the main reasons for the increase is the expansion of the route network. In recent years the number of trolleybus routes in Mykolaiv has doubled — from 6 to 12, allowing better coverage of city districts.
Mykolaivelektrotrans describes the trend of rising trips as steady: against the backdrop of gradual restoration of connections and network expansion, residents are increasingly choosing the trolleybus as their daily transport.
