Ukrainian developers carried out tests of a new generation of bomber drones with greater range, increased payload capacity, and protected communications; the results were reported by Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, who published the details on Telegram.

According to Fedorov, such platforms have become one of the key innovations on the battlefield: they are capable of effectively striking infantry, vehicles, and fortifications, as well as performing logistical tasks.

Commenting on the test results, the minister emphasized that some of the solutions already demonstrate readiness for use in difficult conditions.

As a result of the tests, there are already developments ready to operate in difficult conditions

The trials involved 18 teams that build platforms for the frontline’s specific needs. Among those presented were small bombers: fast and maneuverable, able to carry several kilograms and operate against infantry and light vehicles. Heavy bombers were shown separately, designed for tens of kilograms to strike fortifications and heavy equipment, as well as to carry out logistical missions.

Each drone underwent a range test of up to 20 km under conditions of active electronic warfare, with target engagement and return to base. The main focus was on the resilience and security of the communications channel, which allows operators to work from safer positions.

The next stage, according to Fedorov, will be combat trials, scaling the most effective solutions, and supplying them to the frontline.
