The average salary rose to UAH 28,321, while in IT and telecom employees are paid almost UAH 79,000

In February 2026, according to the State Statistics Service, the average salary in Ukraine rose to 28 321 hryvnias, which is 1.2% higher compared to January.
The information was published on the agency’s page on Facebook.
The leader in pay levels remains Kyiv, where the average salary reached 45 651 hryvnias. In second place — Kyiv region with a figure of 29 077 hryvnias.
The lowest average payouts were recorded in Kirovohrad region — 20 083 hryvnias, and also in Chernivtsi region — 20 460 hryvnias.
By types of economic activity, the highest salaries are received by workers in the “Information and telecommunications” sector — on average 78 941 hryvnias, and the lowest — in the “Arts, sports, entertainment and recreation” sector — 18 681 hryvnias.
Thus, the difference between the maximum and minimum values exceeds 60 thousand hryvnias.
As of March 1, the total wage arrears across the country amounted to 3.5 million hryvnias.
