Drone attack on children: 13-year-old girl killed in Mykolaiv region after Russian strike
As a result of the attack, 10 people were injured, including 8 children
Another tragedy in the Mykolaiv region — a Russian attack took the life of a child, and several other children ended up in hospitals after a strike on the civilian population.
According to the investigation, 28 March 2026 at around 19:50 Russian forces attacked one of the settlements of the Voskresenska Territorial Community using a UAV. At the time of the strike, local residents were in the village center, among them many children.
As a result of the attack, 10 people were injured, among them — 8 children. Most tragically — a 13-year-old girl sustained severe injuries and died in the hospital.
Private houses, cars, a shop and a children’s playground were damaged — places where people lived, worked and where they should have been safe.
Under the procedural supervision of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has already been initiated into a war crime that resulted in a person’s death — Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers together with the SBU are documenting the crimes of the Russian military.
The head of the region also reported the child’s death, Vitalii Kim.
