In Mykolaiv, on March 28, 2026, a physical fitness and wellness event, the “Mykolaivshchyna” Run, took place, bringing together residents of the city and region around an active lifestyle.
Nearly 1,000 participants took part in the event — including professional athletes, recreational runners, and representatives of public organizations and authorities. Among the participants was the Secretary of the Mykolaiv City Council Dmytro Falko.
The race program covered different age groups and fitness levels:
- children’s distances — 100 m, 300 m, 500 m
- adult races — 1 km, 5 km, 10 km
- Nordic walking — 5 km
The scale of the event was reported by the head of the regional mass sports department, Yevhen Fishman, who noted that the event drew a wide audience from across the region.
“Mykolaiv is a city of strong and unbreakable people. Today’s run once again showed that even under difficult conditions we choose movement, health, and unity. Thank you to everyone who took to the start — you create a new energy for our city”, – noted the importance of such initiatives for the community Dmytro Falko.
The event was organized at the initiative of the State Institution “Agency of Mass Sports of Ukraine” with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
