As reported 12 April 2026 by the Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba, more than 1 000 specialists working in nearly 100 crews are currently operating on the country’s largest and most important highways. Since the beginning of the year, the state has already repaired over 3.5 million sq. m of road surface, and in just one day the pace of work exceeded 86.4 thousand sq. m.

Among the regions currently showing the highest rates are

  • Kirovohrad region with an indicator of 82%,
  • Mykolaiv region69.3%
  • Rivne region57.6%.

Thus, the Mykolaiv region is now among the regions where pavement restoration on key roads is progressing the fastest.

At the national level, significant volumes of work have already been carried out on international routes, in particular on the highways

  • M-05 Kyiv — Odesa,
  • M-14 Odesa — Melitopol — Novoazovsk,
  • M-03 Kyiv — Kharkiv — Dovzhanskyi,
  • M-07 Kyiv — Kovel — Yahodyn,
  • M-30 Stryi — Uman — Dnipro — Izvaryne
  • M-19 Domanove — Kovel — Chernivtsi — Terebleche.

After the weather stabilizes, the daily pace of work is planned to be raised to 200 thousand sq. m per day.

For the Mykolaiv region this issue is particularly acute, since as early as the beginning of March the region launched repairs of key routes to Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi and Odesa, and in Mykolaiv itself road works after winter began as one of the sharpest seasonal challenges. Now the region already figures among the leaders in restoration pace, which directly affects logistics, safety, and people’s daily mobility.
