Mykolaiv Mayor Senkevych called rumors about his departure and the sale of real estate a lie
At the administrative meeting he stated that disposing of his own property is his private matter, and he attributed the disinformation to Telegram channels and a lack of critical thinking
The mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych, during a staff meeting at city hall, refuted rumors about his alleged imminent departure from the city and the sale of real estate that are being spread on Telegram channels.
The head of the city noted that such messages periodically appear online, and on the one hand he called them “heresy”, while on the other he emphasized that disposing of his own property is his personal matter and does not concern outsiders.
He recalled that he is a declarant, so information about his assets can be checked in public declarations, and added that he does not intend to leave Mykolaiv.
I hear a lot about myself. And that I supposedly left Mykolaiv… That’s complete lies. And that I am selling my property somewhere. I am a declarant; all my public declarations can be viewed. You can see what I have and what I don’t. On the other hand: what and how to do with my real estate is my personal matter, not the business of people who have achieved nothing in this life.
He also added that nowadays illiterate people who have learned to use a phone — and an audience without critical thinking — accept this and in fact live in a parallel reality.
