Night frosts are returning: Mykolaiv region faces frosts down to -3°
Weather hits the harvest: meteorologists warn of a dangerous cold snap
⚠️In the Mykolaiv Oblast, a sharp cold snap is expected in the coming days due to the influx of Arctic air. According to meteorologists’ warning, from 8 to 11 April 2026 temperatures will drop significantly, and frosts are forecast at night, dangerous for agriculture.
According to the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, on 8-9 April at night and in the morning, frosts on the ground surface and, in places, in the air down to 0-3° are expected (Level I hazard – yellow🟡). During daytime hours temperatures will be 8-13° above zero. Already on 10-11 April the cooling will intensify: at night and in the morning strong frosts in the air down to 0-3° are forecast (Level II hazard – orange🟠), while daytime temperatures are expected to be 10-15° above zero.
Meteorologists warn that such weather conditions may damage agricultural and fruit-and-berry crops that have already begun vegetation. The forecast may still be refined in the coming days.
