A young man raped another young man: the offender faces up to 10 years
An incident in the settlement of Dubrivka, Kropyvnytskyi district; proceedings under Part 2 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code, investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor's office
In Kirovohrad Oblast, police detained a 24-year-old man suspected of raping a 20-year-old victim; the incident occurred in the settlement of Dubrivka in Kropyvnytskyi district.
The regional police department reported the detention. The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Information on this incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape). The penalty provides for up to 10 years’ imprisonment.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region under the procedural supervision of the district prosecutor’s office.
The police clarified that this concerns a sexual offence against a man.
