MP Venislavskyi called for stepping up mobilization in cities
The reform is intended to even out the burden between cities and villages, reduce conflicts with the TCC, and prevent a shortage of men in communities
People’s Deputy Fedir Venislavskyi said that the mobilization burden in Ukraine should be balanced between regions, in particular by increasing conscription in large cities.
Kyiv, Odesa and Kharkiv, many people liable for military service still live their normal lives.
According to the lawmaker, updating mobilization approaches should ensure a sense of fairness and reduce social tension. This concerns an even draft so as to avoid situations where almost no men remain in certain communities.
Venislavskyi reported that, as part of the changes, control over the work of TRC representatives has already been strengthened: the facts of delivering draft notices are recorded by body cameras, which helps to impartially review disputed cases.
In addition, the organization of mobilization processes is being balanced between different regions to avoid concentrating the draft in only certain communities.
He said the key task remains to minimize conflicts between citizens and TRC staff and to ensure a single, fair approach across the country.
