Pharmacies are overcharging: violations were found everywhere in the Mykolaiv region

According to the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Mykolaiv Oblast, in March 2026 five unscheduled inspections were carried out in the region’s pharmaceutical market. The control was carried out under the instruction of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko to strengthen state supervision over prices for medicinal products and medical devices.

In each case inspectors recorded violations — business entities did not comply with the established maximum trade margins on medicinal products. In other words, drug prices were set in excess of the permitted norms.

As a result of the inspections 2 officials were held administratively liable. The total amount of fines was 5,100 hryvnias. In addition, 5 decisions were issued to apply administrative-economic sanctions in the amount of 8,689.34 hryvnias.
