She sought clients, he transported the "goods": the drug trade ended with an arrest

As reported by the Mykolaiv region police March 31, 2026, law enforcement officers exposed and stopped the activities of a group of persons engaged in the sale of narcotic substances in the city. A man and a woman who acted in collusion were involved in the illegal scheme. The investigation established that the man was responsible for storing the drugs and delivering them, while his female accomplice sought clients and took orders. The prohibited substances were sold directly during in-person meetings.

The narcotics were stored in one of the garage cooperatives. After receiving an order, the woman passed the information to her accomplice, who brought the required “product” for further sale.

During searches at the suspects’ places of residence and at storage locations, law enforcement officers seized:

• almost 7 kg of cannabis;
• over 400 grams of the psychotropic substance (PVP);
• electronic scales;
• packing materials;
• mobile phones;
• handwritten notes;
• bank cards;
• cash in hryvnias and foreign currency.

Rapid testing confirmed that the seized items are especially dangerous narcotic and psychotropic substances. All material evidence has been sent for examination. The suspects were detained and informed of suspicion under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns the illegal circulation of drugs in especially large quantities, committed by prior conspiracy.

The court imposed a preventive measure on the suspects — remand in custody without alternatives. For the committed offense they face up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway; law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the drugs and possible accomplices.
