A vandal in Mykolaiv smashed parked cars with a brick

In Mykolaiv late on Saturday evening, 28 March, in the courtyard of an apartment building on Dalya Street an unknown vandal damaged several parked cars with a brick; the incident was recorded on video that is being circulated on Telegram channels.

The published footage shows a man approaching the cars and striking the bodywork and windows with a brick. Some vehicles received several blows in succession until the side windows were shattered.

The video from the scene was shot in the courtyard driveway, where the cars were parked along the buildings. The surveillance camera recorded that the vandal acted unimpeded and moved quickly between the cars.

The communications department of the Mykolaiv Regional Police told the outlet Novyny-N that already the next day, Sunday, 29 March, the owners of the damaged cars contacted law enforcement. At this time, 3 reports have been filed, and initial investigative actions are ongoing.

Law enforcement officers are reviewing the collected materials and establishing the circumstances of the incident, as well as the identity of the person involved in damaging the cars.
