Not even a fire extinguisher helped: a car caught fire in Mykolaiv region

24 March 2026 during the day on a field road near the village of Mykhailivka of Veselynivka hromada, Voznesensk district, a passenger car Toyota RAV4 caught fire while stopped.

The incident was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.

Before the rescuers arrived, the owners tried to extinguish the blaze themselves using a fire extinguisher, but these efforts failed — the flames continued to spread.

After the arrival of a State Emergency Service unit, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the crossover fire. The fire area was about 5 sq. m. Specialists are currently determining the cause of the fire.

To extinguish the fire, 4 rescuers and 1 fire tanker truck were involved.
