Odesa after the night raid: smashed houses, injured people, hundreds of blown-out windows
In the middle of the night, people were ripped from their beds: drones struck apartment buildings and a dormitory
At night on 19 March 2026 the Russian army carried out a massive UAV attack on Odesa. According to the data released by the head of the Odesa MVA Serhiy Lysak, at least three people were injured: two were taken to hospital, and another received assistance on site. The most extensive damage was recorded in the Prymorskyi, Kyivskyi and Khadzhibeyskyi districts of the city.
In the Prymorskyi district 12 residential buildings were damaged. Two of the wounded were hospitalized, while municipal services cleared the surrounding area and boarded up broken windows. An operations headquarters was also on site, where residents received consultations on next steps and how to apply for assistance.
In the Kyivskyi district the strike damaged a 22-story residential building and a dormitory of one of the universities. In total about 180 windows were blown out. From 01:10 a headquarters was operating at the location, and more than 40 municipal workers and special equipment were involved in the aftermath. Windows were covered with film and OSB boards.
In the Khadzhibeyskyi district there was partial destruction of a two-story residential building. Municipal workers cleared the yard area, secured the damaged windows and continued to prepare inspection reports in response to residents’ requests.
“Overall, at all locations headquarters, specialists of district administrations and municipal enterprises are working. The collection of information on the scale of the destruction continues”, – reported Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa MVA.
