Fire at a pig farm in Mykolaiv region: rescuers saved the farm from destruction
The swift actions of the State Emergency Service (SES) prevented the complete destruction of the facility

Almost at dawn on March 18, 2026, a fire broke out at a pig farm in the village of Hrushivka, which is part of the Pervomaiska territorial community of Pervomaiskyi Raion in Mykolaiv Oblast: the flames engulfed a wooden annex and part of the production premises. The regional office of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported the incident.
According to rescuers, the incident occurred on the grounds of a local farm, where a wooden structure had been attached next to the main building. The fire area reached about 600 sq.m. The fire was extinguished in approximately 2 hours by DSNS units that responded to the call.
Experts are currently determining the cause of the fire; an investigation into all circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
