From March 9 to 14, 2026 an exceedance of the maximum permissible concentration of formaldehyde was observed in the city of Mykolaiv. This was reported by the atmospheric air monitoring service.
Details:
- The exceedance of the daily maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of formaldehyde was from 3.3 to 4.8 times.
- No exceedances were recorded for other pollutants.
- Air quality is monitored at four observation points located in different districts of the city.
Thus, formaldehyde remains the main pollutant of Mykolaiv’s atmosphere — this trend has remained stable for many years.
