In Mykolaiv, heating in residential buildings will be switched off on March 24; social institutions will remain heated
Starting Tuesday, heating will be turned off in residential buildings, while heat supply will be continued in kindergartens, hospitals, maternity hospitals and outpatient clinics
Heating in the residential housing stock of Mykolaiv will be switched off on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, while kindergartens, hospitals, maternity hospitals and outpatient clinics will remain supplied with heat.
The draft of the relevant decision has been published on the city council’s website. The document is scheduled to be considered at the executive committee meeting on 18 March 2026. The document lists the grounds for ending the season and the list of facilities that will not be disconnected from heat for now:
“Due to an increase in the average daily outdoor air temperature over three days, which is above +8 °C, the city council’s executive committee decided to end the heating season from 24.03.2026 at all facilities, except for preschool institutions, hospitals, maternity hospitals and outpatient clinics.”
