Night drone attack on Krasnodar: a fatality and damage
On the night of March 18, a city in the Russian Federation was hit by drone strikes; authorities report one fatality and damaged facilities
On the night of March 18, the Russian city of Krasnodar was struck by drones: explosions were heard in several districts, and local authorities reported one fatality and damage to infrastructure.
UNN reports the incident, noting that residents recorded a series of explosions in different parts of Krasnodar.
According to the mayor, one of the drones hit an apartment in a high-rise building, causing a fire; a resident of that home died.
The fire also engulfed the roof of a medical center where emergency services were operating.
In addition, a power line was damaged, causing power outages in part of the city.
Drone debris fell in the courtyards of residential buildings and on balconies. In several cases windows were damaged; there were no casualties in these incidents.
City authorities warned that the threat of repeated attacks remains. Although social institutions are operating normally, residents were urged not to send children to schools.
The head of Krasnodar made a separate appeal to parents with a recommendation, stressing that the situation is controlled by the relevant services.
