In central Warsaw, a 27-year-old Polish man attacked a Ukrainian with a knife on a tram

In Warsaw on the evening of March 16, during a ride on tram No.22, a 27-year-old Polish citizen attacked a Ukrainian with a knife.

The incident was reported by Fakt. According to the media, a dispute broke out between the two men while the tram was in motion on Aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenues).

In the heat of the conflict, one of the participants pulled out a knife and began brandishing it toward the Ukrainian, trying to intimidate his opponent.

Passengers reacted instantly: they rushed to help the victim and simultaneously called the police, whose patrol was passing by the tram at the time.

The police reported the arrest of the attacker and further actions by investigators.

“We have already detained the aggressive 27-year-old man. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of this case. Importantly, no one was injured and no hospitalization was required. In addition, we also seized the attacker’s knife”.

Authorities clarified that none of the passengers sustained injuries, hospitalization was not required, and the seized knife has been added to the case materials.
