In Kyiv Oblast, a man was convicted of systematic sexual violence against an 11-year-old child
The court found the grandmother's partner guilty of crimes against her 11-year-old granddaughter
In the Kyiv region, a court found a man guilty of systematic sexual violence against the 11-year-old granddaughter of his partner and sentenced him to 15 years in prison; this was reported on March 17 by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, the events took place in the summer of 2024 in the Bila Tserkva district, when the child came to spend the holidays with her grandmother.
Investigators established that the accused repeatedly committed sexual acts against the minor.
The grandmother noticed the man’s suspicious behavior, but the girl initially did not talk about what had happened. After a frank conversation with her mother, the child reported the abuse, and the family contacted law enforcement.
During the trial the man did not plead guilty. After assessing the collected evidence, the court found him guilty of committing sexual violence against a minor under part 4 of Article 152 and part 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
