At night on March 17, Russian forces struck the Odesa region with attack drones, resulting in damage to energy, industrial and port facilities.

The consequences of the attack were reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, who noted that enterprise premises and some of their equipment were hit. He published details on social media, where he also informed about the work of emergency services in his post.

Fires broke out at the impact sites. Rescuers arrived promptly and extinguished the fires, preventing their spread.

“Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries,” the message says.

As a result of the shelling, there were power outages in several settlements across the region. Critically important facilities have been switched to backup power sources.
