The Ukrainian Armed Forces thwarted the Russian Federation's strategic offensive planned for March — Zelensky
The President said that the Russian operation planned for March was stopped thanks to the actions of Ukrainian defenders
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening address that the Ukrainian Defense Forces thwarted a Russian strategic offensive that the enemy had planned to carry out in March.
The head of state stressed that the enemy’s assault actions have not stopped, but their tempo and scale noticeably fall short of the scenario the Russian military had promised their political leadership in the Russian Federation.
In his speech, the president specifically highlighted a key formulation of his assessment of the situation at the front.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces thwarted the Russian strategic offensive operation that the enemy had planned for this March”
He also outlined why this result matters not only for combat operations but for the entire system of national resilience, including Ukraine’s international contacts and diplomatic efforts.
“This is important because our strength on the front is the strength of absolutely all Ukrainian positions, our communication with the world, our diplomacy, the ability of peace to be with us, whatever the challenges may be”
