Air defenses shot down 58 of 68 missiles during a nighttime attack on Ukraine; more than 400 drones attacked
The enemy launched 68 missiles, most were intercepted; a mass drone launch was also recorded, and the number of drones shot down has not been specified
Tonight Russian forces launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine: 68 missiles and 430 strike drones were fired; air defense forces shot down 58 missiles and neutralized 402 drones, while there were hits by 6 missiles and 28 UAVs at 11 locations; the main direction of the attack was the Kyiv region, where there are fatalities and damage.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, among the weapons used were 2 “Zircon” missiles, of which 1 was shot down; 13 ballistic missiles “Iskander-M/S-400“, of which 7 were destroyed; 49 cruise missiles of various types — all intercepted; as well as 4 air-launched Kh-59/69 missiles, of which 1 was shot down.
Military officials are clarifying data regarding another 4 missiles launched during this strike.
Following the drone attack, it is reported that of the 430 strike drones of various types used, the defense forces shot down or suppressed 402.
